GBC Motorsports Equipped Teams Lead Dealer Challenge Points Chase
Anaheim, Calif. - April 26, 2012 - With the Parts Unlimited Dealer Challenge points tallied following Round 3 of the GNCC series, it is once again two GBC Motorsports equipped teams that lead the pack of more than 48 teams.
The 1st place DeRisi Racing Woodhead Team, comprised of Braden Henthorn, Brycen Neal, Kylie Ahart and David Reeves, took over the points lead this week on the strength of dominating performances at Big Buck. Neal and Reeves topped their classes while Henthorn finished second and Ahart took 4th. The entire team runs X-Rex front tires and Ground Buster II rear tires, and the consensus is that these tires are producing results.
“I’m incredibly proud of all my riders and how well things are going in 2012,” team owner Santo DeRisi said of the season so far. “This dealer challenge is a great way for shops like DeRisi Racing to give back to thesport and at the same time get some exposure for the great companies that support us like GBC Motorsports.”
The previous points leader, BNR Motorsports, dropped one spot to second this week. The team of AJ Koontz, Michael McAvoy, Rob Smith and Kevin McKeown sit just five points back and are looking to take back the top spot.
When asked about his team’s progress, BNR’s Ryan Smith commented, “It’s pretty awesome to see our guys out there battling as a team. We are pumped to be a part of this challenge, and will be even more pumped to head to Vegas if we win this thing.”
